To get some idea of what diets I have aquainted myself with over the years, I have made a comprehensive diets list below.<\/p>\n<p>There are many ways diets can be categorized, and I will begin with dividing the categorizations into four main groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Biological categorization<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 2. Diet systems<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 3. Production methods<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> 4. Allergy diets<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. BIOLOGICAL CATEGORIZATION<\/strong> &#8211; based on what type of food items are included in the diet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Omnivore diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus meat fron mamals and birds.<br \/>\n<strong> Pesci-vegetarian diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus fish and seafood.<br \/>\n<strong> Ovo-vegetarian diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus eggs.<br \/>\n<strong> Lacto-vegetarian diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus dairy products.<br \/>\n<strong> Vegan diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus all kinds of cooked vegetables.<br \/>\n<strong> Raw food diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus raw vegetables (not cooked over 40\u00b0C).<br \/>\n<strong> Living food diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus easily digested raw vegetables.<br \/>\n<strong>Chimpanzee diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus raw leafy greens.<br \/>\n<strong> Fruit diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains most things below plus fruits. Nuts are not inluded in this diet.<br \/>\n<strong> Juice diet<\/strong> &#8211; contains anything below plus the juice of fruits and vegetables.<br \/>\n<strong> Water diet<\/strong> &#8211; usually called water fasting.\u00a0 Contains anything below plus water.<br \/>\n<strong> Air diet<\/strong> &#8211; usually called dry fasting. Ingested through the lungs instead of stomach.<br \/>\n<strong> Sunlight diet<\/strong> &#8211; generally not considered a diet. Ingested through skin and eyes.<br \/>\n<strong>Earth Field\u00a0 diet<\/strong> &#8211; generally not considered a diet. Ingested through one&#8217;s bare feet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. DIET SYSTEMS<\/strong> &#8211; based on a philosophy or science of the properties of various food items.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Macrobiotic diet<\/strong> &#8211; based on the balance of Yin and Yang food properties.<br \/>\n<strong> Ayurvedic diet<\/strong> &#8211; based on the three Doshas: Vata, Kapha, Pitta.<br \/>\n<strong> Natural Hygienist diet<\/strong> &#8211; partly based on appropriate food combining<br \/>\n<strong> Alkaline diet<\/strong> &#8211; based on Dr Ragnar Berg&#8217;s research on food residue in the 1930s.<br \/>\n<strong> LCHF diet<\/strong> &#8211; based on a high fat and low carbohydrate content of the food.<br \/>\n<strong> 5:2 diet<\/strong> &#8211; based on eating normally 5 days and\u00a0 calorie restricted 2 days a week.<br \/>\n<strong> Calorie Restricted diet<\/strong> &#8211; based on research on health and longevity of mice.<br \/>\n<strong> Anti-Inflammatory diet<\/strong> &#8211; based on excluding inflamation inducing food.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. PRODUCTION METHODS<\/strong> &#8211; based on how the food items are manufactured.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conventionelly farmed<\/strong> &#8211; produced using pesticides , fertilizers, antibiotics and minimum space.<br \/>\n<strong>Organicly farmed<\/strong> &#8211; produced using organic pesticides and fertilizers.<br \/>\n<strong>Biodynamically farmed<\/strong> &#8211; organically produced according to Rudof Steiner.<br \/>\n<strong>Fair Trade farmed<\/strong> &#8211; produced by farmers that are fairly treated and fairly paid.<br \/>\n<strong>Free Roaming farmed<\/strong> &#8211; food from farm animals with more space than others.<br \/>\n<strong>Wild Animals<\/strong> &#8211; free roaming wild animals that are shot during hunting season.<br \/>\n<strong>Wild Edible Plants<\/strong> &#8211; produced by nature for anyone to pick in public areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. ALLERGY DIETS<\/strong> &#8211; based on the avoidance of specific ingredients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gluten free diet<\/strong> &#8211; does not contain any Wheat, Barley or Rye.<br \/>\n<strong> Lactose free diet<\/strong> &#8211; does not contain any milk sugar.<br \/>\n<strong> Soy free diet<\/strong> &#8211; does not contain any soy residue.<br \/>\n<strong> Low Sugar diet<\/strong> &#8211; does not contain any added sugar.<br \/>\n<strong> Low Fat diet<\/strong> &#8211; does not contain any added fat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The book Diet Change Info covers my experiences of very many diets.
